NGSD Rescues

Occasionally, there NGSDs needed placement in forever homes.
Please e-mail us if you are interested.  Please see our New Guinea Singing Dog tab for information on the breed.  These dogs are not for everyone, but if you think you have what it takes to own one or two of the rarest dogs on earth, please let us know.

Rescue Information

Tamaskan rescues are far and few between (thankfully!) There may be months between individual dogs needing foster and adoptive homes.  This is particularly frustrating for us as applications become out of date; families have moved on and are no longer available to help with rescued dogs. It is imperative that we maintain an updated list of applicants as these dogs normally are mislabeled as wolf hybrids and need to be taken immediately from shelters or other Rescue agencies. Applicants need to be aware that when one of these dogs has been approved for our rescue, that there will be very little time to prepare. So -

WE are always in need of approved FOSTER homes for future rescues! Please consider being on a reserved list for a Rescued Tamaskan so any dogs in the future can be placed immediately.

If you are willing and able to provide foster care for future rescues, please contact us!  I prefer to have homes set up within 100 miles of Madison, WI, but will make acceptions.

We will send you an application and contact information.    We will be a available to help in any way possible to help place approved rescue dogs in stable homes.

You may also consider making a non tax deducatable donation to help the transport, care and placement of our rescue dogs.  Our basic source of income comes from adoption fees  which rarely cover the costs associated with each dog.

Please help give these beautiful dogs another chance

Luna Success Story

Luna is happily settled in her new forever home! As reported from her parents, she is in the lap of luxury, taking over the family couch! She is ringing a bell to go outside and even the crazy cat has accepted her into the household! Hooray for Luna!!!

Meet LUNA. She is a very young dog, between 7 and 9 months of age, probably..her health history is very limited. She found herself taken in by  the Southwest Pennsylvania Retriever Rescue Org/S.P.A.R.R.O.
the first week of Dec, 2009. Thankfully, S.P.A.R.R.O had the forsight and time to investigate LUNA. They were placed in contact with us through the WRR. We were able to phenotype LUNA based on several factors including a YouTube video that S.P.A.R.R.O provided.
What a sweet picture of Loo-Loo and Luna!
